Convenience sampling technique was used to select 219 respondents for data collection. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient statistical tool. The result obtained indicate a significant relationship between demographic characteristics linked to employee’s presenteeism and staff productivity at the GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria PLC (GSK) with correlation value of 0.820. Also, the Pearson correlation coefficient between health problems and productivity loss was 0.819 indicating that there was a significant relationship in the nature of health problems as the source of presenteeism and productivity loss in work organisations. Therefore, the study submits that certain health conditions predispose toward presenteeism led to absenteeism. Similarly, the study concluded that manufacturing firms should identify the causes of employees’ presenteeism in order to enhance organisational productivity while irrelevant excuses should be discouraged.
