Its too hard to be have success, increasing in welfare, production and gain power without qualified education. So education was always too important for a human life since history. We can never think one way education without different systems because of different ethnicities and different believings. For this reason, every society tried to make a different educational system which is compatible with their believings and it brings different kind of education systems. Some countries is advanced which is understood how important is education and they became a education system examples for other countries. Turkish states also made their education system is compatible with their believings. Some innovation about educational system are sometimes brought much advance but sometimes they brought much damage to society. Especially in second half of 19. Century, some disagreements came out, some changes made about educational system and wars affected Turkish people badly. \nEducational system had so much changes in Ottoman State until republic came. Especially after 19. Century, some important reforms have done and many modern schools opened. Primary school and high school degree schools opened and it brings more needs of teachers. There was filled with madrasah graduate students. Time after, finding teacher became hard and they didin’t fiind enough teacher for systematic problems about madrasahs. For fiiled this shortage first official teacher training institute opened in 1848. Teacher training schools started to open in cities in time and they became more number. One of them opened in Sivas for train primary school teachers. But in the beginning of the 20. Century, wars that Ottoman State got, started to affect new school. Especially during the First World War national mobilization announced, and some economic problems come out. Also many provisional law announced and students and teachers called to war, some schools closed or they need to have a break. Also student and graduated teachers had affect badly which was teaching or studying in Sivas Darülmuallimin School. Some of them became soldiers, some of them died and some of them became prisoners. Some teachers which are graduated before war, also affected by World war and after was effects. This problem bring many badly affect about our educational history. \nThis study is targetting to give summary information about the Darülmuallimin-i İbtidai School which is opened for train teachers and this school’s and teacher’s activity during First World War.
