The family ensures its social order, the continuation of the lineage and at the same time, it carries cultural values from generation to generation through the ages through family members. Traditions, customs, traditions and beliefs formed within these frameworks brought along various applications in the transition stages of human life such as birth, marriage, death. Young people coming into marriage age combine their lives with wedding ceremonies, and these wedding ceremonies have many traditions from past to present according to the cultural structures of the societies. Basically, the wedding has three stages. Before the wedding, the wedding and after the wedding, every universe has its own traditional practices. Weddings in Kilis take place in these three stages. it can also be said that there are some differences in the implementation of these wedding traditions as city dwellers and villagers in Kilis. The marriage traditions of the people of Kilis from past to present constitute the subject of this study. Also in this study, wedding traditions were obtained by applying interview technique with people living in Kilis, by compiling and by using written sources.
