Trudności dotyczące ośrodkowych zaburzeń przetwarzania słuchowego z perspektywy lekarzy, instytucji orzekających i pacjentów

Central auditory processing disorders are symptoms that may significantly impact the everyday functioning of the people affect-ed by them. This study aims to present the difficulties of adjudicating and opinion-forming entities concerning the assessment of patients with central auditory processing disorders. The difficulties described in the article translate into problems related to receiving the appropriate support that patients with central auditory processing disorders need. Schools, psychological and pedagogical counseling centers, and many other institutions that often have opportunities have no grounds to provide such support without receiving the appropriate documents. Putting into use the Classification of the Diseases and Health Problems ICD-11 and sub-sequent legal regulations regarding the patients with central auditory processing disorders gives us a chance to improve the current unfavorable situation.
