The substation belongs to FDEE Electrica distributie Transilvania Nord SA. In a first step the detailed three dimensional (3D) CAD models of the substation components are constructed and assembled in the CAD environment SolidWorks. Then the exact 3D coordinates of the terminals are automatically retrieved and the electric field distribution is computed on the 3D CAD model using a CAE software developed.
