This study focuses on exploring the cultural resistance found in the discourse which covers the symbolic meanings reflected in the mbrokohi ritual. This aimed at describing the forms of cultural resistance and steps of anticipation used by the Sedulur Sikep society in implementing the rice harvest ritual mbrokohi towards the stigma and influence of the modern era. The data collection technically applied in-depth interviewing method, involved observations and the analysis of primary/secondary data documents. The stages of analysis were conducted based on a cycle basis which includes data collection, data reduction, data display and verification.
