The Medieval Plot of the Dispute between the Soul and the Body in the Poem by N.A. Nekrasov «Conversation»
The first poetry collection of N. A. Nekrasov "Dreams and sounds" (1840) is practically not studied, because it is recognized as a student, imitative and has no connection with the mature work of the poet. More than half of the poems in the collection are devoted to religious themes, which is really uncharacteristic for Nekrasov as a poet who devoted his work, first of all, to the fate of the Russian peasantry. Meanwhile, the collection very fully reflects the spiritual formation of the early Nekrasov, his devotion to the ideals of Orthodoxy and his youthful determination to lead a truly spiritual life. In this article, for the first time, an analysis of one of the most characteristic works for this collection is given – a poem called "Conversation", in which the author refers to the well-known plot of the debate between soul and body.
