They show excellent performances in terms of sensitivity and linearity and have been operated at temperatures up to 100/spl deg/C. Low dose measurements have also been performed in the pulse mode. Further, radiation hardness measurements under /sup 60/Co gamma rays have demonstrated long term stability for integrated doses up to 500 kGy.
