Documents concerning the building were found by us in Victoria and Albert’s Museum and Cambridge University Library (UK). The author of the project, E.Blore, was known in England first of all as an architect capable to build country houses in so called Tudor style. His Crimean mansion has many features in common with the estates he has built in Britain. But it is important also to stress its unique character based on the local traditions and local relief’s peculiarities.
