Multifunctionality means possibility of using footwalk to a selected temporary bridge. Due to the different constructional arrangements of the selected temporary bridges, the design of the footwalk beam is a key step. The footwalk bearer is the main carrying element directly connected to the selected temporary bridge. The proposal design is based primarily on an analysis of the deficiencies present footwalks used on selected bridges.
