This paper mainly present the design, control and technology for main drive roller of cold plate leveler (CPL), which has great function to satisfy complex and precise technology for steel production. A special 9 single-roller control strategy is indicated in the paper, realized by calculating computer model and monitoring data including general sequence control (GSC), general function control (GFC), leveling gap control (LGC), leveling roll entry (LRY), leveling roller exit (LRX), leveling single roller (LSR), leveling adjustment mode (LAM), bend-roller 4*4(B44), leveling exterior control (LEC). Every drive roller of 9 rollers are separately calculated and implemented by setting and feedback value of torque between steel plate and roller.
