污染源普查与监测是环境保护与管理的重要工作之一，对环境规划和宏观调控具有重要意义。本文首先分析了污染源普查数据的特点，指出了现有环境信息系统的相似性和共性问题。然后基于GIS和空间数据库，构建了集污染源信息获取与管理、智能查询与索引、空间分析与综合应用于一体的面向污染源普查的管理信息系统。最后根据环境管理的要求，介绍了污染源普查管理信息系统的具体应用。
