The instantaneous power theory is applied for harmonic detection to calculate the reference currents. The dynamic models of the shunt active power filter on three-phase and dq frames are proposed in the paper. The model on dq frame is used to derive the control strategy. Moreover, the stability criterion using the Lyapunov unction is also presented in the paper.
