The article systematizes the theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the economic security of an organization, taking into account the identified advantages and disadvantages. We also highlight the most common indicative method and algorithm for assessing and building a system to ensure economic security. The methodology of conducting a comprehensive assessment of the economic security of an organization is clarified. This is considered in the context of coordinating the strategic, tactical and current security indicators and taking into account certain peculiarities of regional development.
