To reach all users readily, video streaming on HTTP gets popular as HTTP is supported almost in any existing platforms. Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) represents a great standard for multimedia services in Internet. In order to offer better user experience and cope with dynamically varying network conditions, a big challenge is to estimate precisely next segment bandwidth, which is a significant premise in determining next multimedia bitrate. This paper investigates the effectiveness of exiting bandwidth estimation schemes and our presented MACD based Bandwidth Estimation Scheme (MBES) in wireless environment. 随着手机的广泛使用,无线多媒体业务变得非常重要。为了方便地接触到所有用户,基于HTTP的视频流变得流行起来,因为几乎所有现有平台都支持HTTP。动态自适应HTTP流(Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP, DASH)代表了互联网多媒体服务的一个重要标准。为了提供更好的用户体验和应对动态变化的网络条件,精确估计下一段带宽是一个很大的挑战,这是确定下一个多媒体比特率的重要前提。本文研究了现有带宽估计方案的有效性,并提出了基于MACD的无线环境下的带宽估计方案(MBES)。仿真结果表明,当骨干网出现网络瓶颈时,MBES的性能优于现有的其他方案,但在有线网络中的性能不如骨干网。
