In Jammu and Kashmir 58.7% of women are anemic compared to national average of 51.8%. 17.6% suffer from moderate anaemia compared to national average of 14.8%. The present study was aimed to compare the prevalence of anaemia among rural (50) and urban (50) pregnant subjects using descriptive comparative survey design. Purposive sampling technique was used for data collection. The study found mild anaemia (98%) among rural and (100%) among urban subjects. Moderate anaemia was found (2%) only among rural subjects.
