FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN TERHADAP PEMERIKSAAN PAP SMEAR PADA IBU DI POLIKLINIKKEBIDANAN RUMAH SAKIT AWAL BROS PEKANBARU TAHUN 2017

Pap smear is a cytological examination to detect cells from the surface of cervical epithelium and cervical canal which aims to find cervical precancer lesions in order not to develop into cervical cancer in the future and adequate treatment (Amni, 2014). The phenomenon found in Awal Bros Pekanbaru Hospital Polyclinic, lack of willingness Mother doing pap smear examination. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the examination of pap smears in mothers in Obstetric Polyclinic Hospital Awal Bros Pekanbaru. The design used is descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. The sample of this study consisted of 199 mothers. The data analysis showed that there was a correlation between knowledge (p value 0,001), attitude (p value 0,001) and husband support (p value 0,001) to pap smear examination. In this research the researcher suggest mother to increase knowledge about pap smear examination, embody mother trust to do pap smear examination and increase and maintain support from husband so that mother can do pap smear examination.
