Statistical Profile of Yulian Opilsky’s Stories “Idols Will Fall” and “I Am Coming to You”: corpus-based studies
The main aim of the research is to study the idiolect of Yulian Opilsky, to create a statistical profile of the author’s style based on the stories “I Am Coming to You” and “Idols Will Fall”. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that the above-mentioned literary works have not been previously studied from the statistical perspective. The paper presents the quantitative analysis of Yu. Opilsky’s stories “Idols Will Fall” and “I Am Coming to You”: the average numbers of chapters, paragraphs, sentences, words and letters have been calculated, the stories have been compared in terms of volume. In addition, the most frequent words have been calculated both with and without lemmatization.
