However, for a Ro-Pax terminal, the trips of passengers and vehicles are driven by the arrival and departure of Ro-Pax ships, which is different from the conventional trip generation model. Therefore, we propose a simulation-based trip generation estimation for a Ro-Pax terminal considering the uncertainty of the passengers and vehicles’ arrivals. A simulation of the operation in the Ro-Pax terminal is established to simulate the Ro-Pax terminal operations with passengers and vehicles.
