For application-oriented colleges and universities, how to apply blended course teaching to the design of each teaching link so that students can learn independently, and how to improve the teaching quality will be particularly critical. Taking the course “Outline of China’s Modern History” as an example, this paper combined the characteristics of talent cultivation in application-oriented colleges and universities, while starting from the concept of result-oriented education, based on the construction of the MOOC platforms and school-based teaching resources.
