Moreover, this study used descriptive qualitative design .The data of this study were utterances between English teacher and students during English classroom in XI-2 IPA of SMA Negeri 11 Medan.The instruments for data collection were observation tally sheet and video recording. The result showed all of the categories used in the teaching and learning process. It found from the percentage of all categories , the dominant category used by the teacher was Giving Direction (40.41% ). In the other hand the dominant category used by students was Student Talk-Response (57.60%). 摘要

本文运用Flanders互动分析类别系统(FIACS)研究了教师和学生在英语课堂互动中使用的主导类别,以及教师和学生在英语课堂互动中所占的百分比。数据采集工具为观察记录表和录像。结果显示了教学过程中使用的所有类别。从所有类别的百分比来看,教师使用的主导类别是给予指导(40.41%)。另一方面,学生使用的主要类别是学生谈话反应(57.60%)。此外,在英语课堂互动中,教师发言的比例为59.76%,学生发言的比例为36.72%,这表明教师在口头课堂互动中比学生更主动、更占优势。关键词:言语课堂互动,教师话语,学生话语,弗兰德斯互动分析分类系统
