Dhananchezian","doi":"10.1063/5.0068202","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"In this research study involves a performance analysis in dry turning Ti-6Al-4V, Monel 400 and Inconel 600 alloys with carbide insert of CNMG 120408 THM. Cutting temperature, surface roughness (Ra), chip thickness, chip form and cutting insert after cutting have been studied for turning of these three materials. From the turned surface of these three materials with current cutting parameter, the lowest Ra value of 0.723 µm was obtained for Titanium alloy. It observed that an improvement in finish of the Ti-6Al-4V machined surface by 102 % and 180 % over machined surface finish of the Inconel 600 and Monel 400 respectively.
