EFFECT OF DIFFERENT LIGHT INTENSITIES ON GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF ARTEMIA (ARTEMIA SALINA) IN AN ARTIFICIAL ECOSYSTEM
Artemia nauplii are the best initital food for most fish larvae. Feeder fish, Artemia nauplii, contain the ingredients necessary for the survival of aquatic organisms during critical periods of early postembryonic ontogenesis. Thus, it is important to improve the biotechnology of Artemia cultivation in artificial ecosystems.
Materials and Methods. In the course of the study, various illumination modes were used, namely, 1.5; 2.5 and 4 klx to determine the most effective one.
Results. Various illumination modes affect Artemia development in different ways. The most effective illumination mode at the stage of embryonic development and the initial stages of postembryonic ontogenesis was 4 klx.
