The act of corruption is under most jurisdictions considered as a criminal offence. However, it can have a great legal impact on the contracts tainted by corruption, especially with the regard to its validity. There are two categorize of such contracts, one providing for corruption, and one procured by corruption. As stipulated in this paper, such activities are common in international trade nowadays.
