It was found that similarity between the HBUT-Y and strains in genus Gordonia ranged from 95% to 99% through 16S rRNA sequence comparison. Substrate utilization data were provided by Biolog automated microbial identification system. combining with the result, HBUT-Y was preliminary indentified as a Gordonia sputi.
