The authors emphasize the fact that interdisciplinarity is not a phenomenon that is unique to a particular science or a particular field of science, it applies to all fields of knowledge. The article traces the trends in the development of interdisciplinarity in the humanities on the example of the course \"Educology\". Considerable attention is paid by the authors to the effectiveness of the interdisciplinary approach in the training of higher education students of the educational program \"Management of educational institutions\" based on the experience of teaching the course \"Educology\" as an interdisciplinary subject.
