Sistem Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Yang Ideal Menurut UUD 1945

The history of the Indonesian nation records that the Indonesian nation has undergone several changes to the constitution and also regulations related to the mechanism for selecting regional heads. The diversity of culture, character and history in each region makes it a challenge to find the right formula regarding the right regional head election mechanism to be applied. This paper aims to analyze the implementation of the development of the implementation of the election that has been going on until now and the ideal electoral system according to UUD 1945. The method used in this research uses juridical-normative law research. This study concludes that the implementation of asymmetric elections in Indonesia is the ideal electoral system according to UUD 1945. This asymmetric election provides an election mechanism that is in accordance with the needs of each region, does not impose one system for all regions. The purpose of this asymmetric election is in line with UUD 1945 system which puts forward the values ​​of Pancasila and the noble values ​​of the nation.
