The heart artery plaque layer analysis is still an open problem as no appropriate solution has been discovered yet. IVUS (IntraVascular Ultrasound Image) is one of the medical imaging techniques based on the sound waves produces the vessel cross sectional images of blood vessels that provide the quantitative and qualitative assessment of the vascular wall information about the nature of atherosclerosis lesions as well as plaque size and shape. The proposed work involves to extracting the vessel wall and lumen boundaries from the cross sectional images and also find out the plaque layer component using contour energy minimization method. That can be iteratively selects the image features for the analysis of plaque layer. 摘要
