The role of the «Ak Zhol» newspaper as a source in the study of the socio-political history of Kazakhstan

The article defines the importance of periodical materials in the study of historical issues as a complex type of written historical sources. The authors consider approaches to the problem of determining the place of periodicals in the system of historical sources. The role and significance of the Ak Zhol newspaper as an additional type of historical source in the study of the socio-political history of Kazakhstan in the 20s of the 20th century is considered. A number of articles published on the pages of the newspaper is analyzed.
