Compared with conventional tracking systems, a new detection approach based on image recognition is proposed for rejecting ground clutter. The multiple hypothesis tracking (MHT) method is applied in sea or weather clutter background to keep tracks more reliable and more stable. Tracking performance is improved. Thus, the major problems of clutter interference that mainly prevents the realizing of automatic tracking are solved.
