The use of smart sensors offers improvement in efficiency and reduces installation period. With implementation of smart sensor network it is possible to expand current network capacity with ease. This work incorporates a PLC used as parent control unit and microcontroller as DSCD to take care of smart sensor network and responsible for availability of data to parent control unit. The concept of wire break sensing has been implemented to identify the fault sensor. Thus it is easy to troubleshoot.
