The content of technical education should be focused on the pupil `s development, accentuating his / her personal qualities and competences. An original and creative approach to generating and solving problematic situations should be emphasized, hence the current and widespread discussions about the role of creativity in the context of education and across educational areas. The present paper deals with the issue of technical creativity and its manifestations in practical activities of elementary school pupils. The aim of the study is to present theoretical foundations and approaches to technical creativity as an essential part of modern technical education. Based on the content analysis of documents, the research of reference literature focused on the issue of technical creativity, and the theoretical analysis of professional articles and publications, the authors present several possible approaches determining the basic criteria of the evaluation and the assessment of technical creativity by the teacher. In fact, the teacher represents the most important factor, and the teacher's behaviour and acting in the educational process significantly influence the occurrence and the level of manifestations of technical creativity of pupils. The paper is based on partial r Linux Libertine Oesults of a research, which was implemented in an effort to identify key situations affecting pupils' creative expressions. As it emerged from the research, the initial selection of topics for the practical activities of pupils is of great significance. In addition, the choice of materials, aids, and other means with which pupils work, has a direct influence on creativity. Consequently, it can be stated that as soon as during the pre-preparatory phase of his / her educational activity, the teacher significantly influences the form of possible manifestations of technical creativity in the pupils' activities.
