The participants of the study comprised 4 secondary school students and 4 secondary school English teachers in a district of Burdur province in Turkey. In the selection of the participants, convenience sampling model was adopted on the volunteering basis. In the study, the phenomenology research model was utilized. The data were obtained from the semi- structured interviews conducted face-to-face with the participants. In the analysis of the data, the Content Analysis technique was used. The results of the study revealed that participants were willing to access to the system via technologicsl devices like smart phones, computers, tablet pc and smart board. Since communication is important, participants stated that there should be video chat, instant messaging, announcements, forum, social networks, storage and game components in the system. In addition to these, participants noted that the properties such as activities, uploading home works, grading students, student information, attendance shedule, feedback, and duties and responsibilities should be available in the system. Morever, the participants stated that the applicability of the system depends on the introducing the system, motivation, internet-free usage, technological infrastructure, updatability and competitive features. 摘要

本研究旨在了解中学生在英语课上口语能力的需求及期望。该研究的参与者包括土耳其布尔杜尔省一个地区的4名中学生和4名中学英语教师。在参与者的选择上,在自愿的基础上采用便利抽样模型。本研究采用现象学研究模式。数据来自与参与者面对面进行的半结构化访谈。在数据分析中,采用了内容分析技术。研究结果显示,参与者愿意通过智能手机、电脑、平板电脑和智能板等技术设备访问该系统。由于沟通很重要,与会者表示,系统中应该有视频聊天、即时通讯、公告、论坛、社交网络、存储和游戏组件。除此之外,与会者还指出,系统中应该提供活动、上传家庭作业、评分学生、学生信息、考勤表、反馈以及职责等属性。此外,与会者表示,该系统的适用性取决于系统的引入、动机、互联网的免费使用、技术基础设施、可更新性和竞争特点。在此,我们希望这些研究的结果能够对开发一个在线信息系统来支持中学生在英语课上的口语技能有所帮助。
