Pendekatan ini menempatkan mahasantri sebagai subjek belajar aktif dan mengintegrasikan konteks sosial yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasantri dalam mempelajari Bahasa arab. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan guru Bahasa arab dan mahasantri, serta observasi kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kebutuhan mahasantri dalam mempelajari Bahasa arab meliputi penguasaan kosakata, kemampuan maharah kalam dan pemahaman budaya arab. Selain itu, mahasantri juga membutuhkan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kondusif dan dapat mengintegrasikan konteks sosial dalam pembelajaran Bahasa arab. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan agar pengembangan kurikulum pembelajaran Bahasa arab dilakukan dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan mahasantri yang teridentifikasi dalam penelitian. Selain itu, guru Bahasa arab perlu meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan dalam mengintegrasikan konteks sosial dalam pembelajaran Bahasa arab. Abstract: This study aims to assess the effectiveness of learning Arabic based on the social reality approach in the university's preparation with a focus on female students. This approach establishes students as active teaching materials and integrates the social context that suits students' needs in learning Arabic. The design of the research used is qualitative research with a case study approach. The data were collected through interviews with Arabic language teachers and students, as well as class notes. The results showed that students' needs for learning Arabic include mastery of vocabulary, speech skill skills and understanding of Arabic culture. In addition, Mahasantry also needs a favourable learning environment and can integrate social context into Arabic language learning. Based on the results of the research, it is suggested that the Arabic language learning curriculum be developed taking into account students' specific needs in the research. In addition, Arabic language teachers need to improve their skills and knowledge in integrating social context into Arabic language learning. Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Berbasis Pendekatan Realitas Sosial (Analisis Kebutuhan di Ma’had Al-Jami'ah UIN Jakarta)
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pembelajaran Bahasa arab berbasis pendekatan realitas sosial di Ma’had Al Jamiah dengan fokus pada mahasantri. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kebutuhan mahasantri dalam mempelajari Bahasa arab meliputi penguasaan kosakata, kemampuan maharah kalam dan pemahaman budaya arab. Selain itu, mahasantri juga membutuhkan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kondusif dan dapat mengintegrasikan konteks sosial dalam pembelajaran Bahasa arab. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan agar pengembangan kurikulum pembelajaran Bahasa arab dilakukan dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan mahasantri yang teridentifikasi dalam penelitian.
