Factors that influence the choice of students specialty are formed in high school. Then the choice of the specialty is influenced by parents for whom (as shown by the research based on the semantic analysis of the parents' statements), the main criteria are: the intellectual abilities and abilities of the student; the demand for a profession; amount of earnings; opportunities for career growth. When analyzing the statements of students, it was noted that after the admission, they are not interested in future employment until the last year. On the first place there are such problems as the relationship in the group, they talk about their future specialty, guided by common stereotypes. The last course increases the interest in the profession, there is a clear understanding of the positive and negative aspects of the specialty. At this moment, the student begins to influence the labor market by participating in job search.
