O papel das incubadoras de empresas no desenvolvimento local: um estudo de caso

The business’ incubators offer building structure and managerial support to the development of small enterprises. In Brazil, the business’ incubator idea emerged in the 80’s, resulting from the high level of small enterprises closed. The purpose of this research concerns to investigate the developed activities by an enterprise’s incubator from Ribeirao Preto region and evaluate its effects in local development. This research has a qualitative and descriptive focus, using the interview technique for data collection. The interviews were realized with the manager and entrepreneurs from the business’ incubator. In general, the business’ incubator evaluated has been well succeed and generated economic and social development to the region.
