Perspectiva de educação escolar em Altamira-PA no projeto de construção da Rodovia Transamazônica

This article aims to discuss the impacts of the construction of the Transamazonica Highway on school education in the municipality of Altamira. Thus, we started with the problem: Did the project for the construction of the Transamazonica highway influence the conditioning of the educational policy of Altamira with a view to conducting professional training? Thus, it seeks to inquire about the consequences caused by the opening of Transamazonica in the educational scope and to identify the investments made by this integration project, which was responsible for the rapid increase in the population index in the municipality. From the analysis of interviews and memoirs reports, as well as school documents, it was possible to understand the reality of school education in Altamira in the 1970s, which led us to consider that starting from the construction of the Transamazonica Highway, the social organization of Altamira was totally modified, in order to follow the development logic that the project preached, with that the teaching organization had to be modified, carrying out an education for the technical training for the preparation of the workforce suitable for immediate work.
