Particular attention is paid to the fact that the considered fraudulent activities are implemented using computer or mobile devices and technologies. The article is devoted to the consideration of the features of improving forensic interaction in the investigation of these thefts. The paper clarifies the mechanism for using social engineering methods in the theft of other people’s property, and also forms a circle of subjects of interaction. The author refers to the specified subjects of interaction the organizations providing cellular communication services, the Internet, banking organizations, specialists with special knowledge, law enforcement officers, etc. The conclusion is made regarding the improvement of the areas of forensic interaction in the investigation of these crimes, which make it possible to successfully obtain forensically significant information, search for a criminal in hot pursuit, as well as prevent the commission of new crimes.
