NOTES ON GENUS SYSTEM AND GENUS INHERENCE PERSONAL NOMINA IN CONTEMPORARY GERMAN
In Contemporary Transnational German (CTG) there is no biological and linguistically consistent congruency alongside of genders. Usually three genders are defined in German: masculine, feminine, and neuter. However, there is also a distinctive Common gender, and many Epicenes can be found in German as well. Moreover, an additional Dubium, Incertain or Diverse gender may be distinguishable among up to six genders. Word endings in and by themselves don`t reveal grammatical gender thoroughly within current German. In addition, you have to consider set theoretical aspects, intersections and certain propositional connectives. Different aspects of German nouns, selected distinctions and relations between gender inherence and grammatical German gender on the other hand are addressed here from a systematic point of view.
