Factors that Influence Post-traumaic Growth of Nurses in a National Designated Infectious Disease Hospital Nurses’ Post-traumatic Growth

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of post-traumatic stress, resilience and post-traumatic growth among nurses who care for COVID-19 patients in a national designated infectious disease hospital and to investigare the factors influencing their post-traumatic growth. We performed a cross-sectional descriptive study, and data were collected from June 20 to July 4, 2022. A total 166 nurses participated in this study. As a result, the mean score of post-traumatic stress was 21.13±14.83, the mean score of resilience was 57.54±13.30, and the mean score of post-traumatic growth was 36.98±12.84. In this study, there was a significant correlation among post-traumatic growt, post-traumatic stress and resilience. Religion and resilience were factors influenced post-traumatic growth among nurses, and the explanatory power was 43.7% in the regression model. Based on the results, it is necessary to develop interventions that can help post-traumatic growth of nurses in national designated infectious disease hospitals.
