The analysis is aimed at revealing the forms and themes of hate speech addressed to President Joko Widodo by means of a forensic linguistic approach. The present study collected data consisting of various speeches categorized as hate speech posted by netizens on social media, particularly Facebook in the period of 2016-2018. The data analysis technique employed in this research was the qualitative content analysis introduced by Mayring as a procedure to analyze objects in the form of transcripts, including hate speech on social media. The results of analysis show that most hate speeches were expressed directly and contain attitude lexis representing the mental condition of the speaker who hates President Joko Widodo. Meanwhile, themes of hate speech addressed to President Joko Widodo were as follows: (1) Joko Widodo's identity, (2) Joko Widodo's relationship with Megawati, (3) Joko Widodo's relationship with the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI), (4) Joko Widodo's support for China, and (5) Joko Widodo's policies that suppressed Islamic groups.
