This technique is used in Time Domain ReflectometryODR) in which a delay time between incident and reflected pulses can be used for PD location. Due to the size of a cavity inside the insulation or the amount of water absorbed by the insulation, PD signal magnitudes and widths vary greatly. If PD sources are close to one terminal, the incident and the reflected pulses will overlap each other making it difficult to estimate the delay time by using the auto-correlation and the conventional TDR method. In this study, cepstrum analysis techniques are developed for the location of partial discharges on power cables. 1.
