How to evaluate the acceptable installed capacity of renewable energy or the maximum renewable energy output that the power grid can absorb is an urgent problem to be studied. This paper presents a renewable energy consumption calculation method of regional power grid based on power system sequential production simulation. This method can take units maintenance plan formulation and complementarity of multi-type power units in the power grid into account, and evaluate the renewable energy consumption capacity of regional power grid. Based on this method, a renewable energy consumption calculation system is developed and put into practical use.
