At present, the power auxiliary service market (PASM) in China is still in the construction period. With the increasing investment scale of the energy storage market, energy storage is widely appeared in the PASM. In view of this situation, this paper takes various parts of Northwest China as an example, introduces the application of energy storage technology in the field of renewable energy, discusses the five main auxiliary service types of frequency modulation, peak regulation, reserve, reactive power regulation and black start, and gives the corresponding cost and benefit model.
