As a result, the far field properties of the SH-wave scattered by circular, elliptical and square cavities in an anisotropic elastic medium with a symmetry plane are analyzed and some curves describing the far field properties of scattering SH-wave are obtained. The results show that the far field characteristic properties of the scattering SH-wave are determined by the incident wave, the geometric shape and the properties of medium.
