Further, the present study attempts to study the Information Technology (IT) employee’s relationship between interpersonal communication and performance at workplace of the personnels in the managerial positions and the employees work under them. An online survey was conducted to collect data and 101 IT employees responded to the survey. Interpersonal communication is measured by adopting the instrument (Interpersonal Communication Inventory). Job performance of the employees was measured by adopting the scale ‘Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ)’ including task performance, contextual performance, and counterproductive work behaviour. The Counterproductive work behavior of an employee significantly accounted for a negative relationship with the employee’s Interpersonal communication by not indulging in the presentism attitude.
