Climate Change and Crop Diversification: Evidence from Bangladesh
Climate shocks in Bangladesh have become much more variable as a result of global climate change. Using national representative panel data in three waves in Bangladesh, I find that farmers tend to diversify their crops in response to climate shocks. Farmers are more likely to diversify their crops in response to aggregate and idiosyncratic climate shocks simultaneously.
