PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE OF LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS THROUGH THERMAL INSPECTION INSPECTION
Predictive maintenance continuously compares the trend of the values of the most important functional parameters (electrical, thermal, mechanical) of an investigated equipment with their accepted limits (prescribed by the equipment manufacturer or imposed by the technological process), aiming to anticipate, analyze and even correct possible malfunctions before they manifest. This paper addresses an important part of the predictive maintenance service: the non-invasive examination by thermal inspection (IR thermography - infrared) of the thermal demands of the most important electrical equipment in power plants: transformers and drive motors. Thus, it is proposed a procedure that, using thermal maps (thermograms) of the systems analyzed in various operating regimes, to allow both a continuity of operation of technological processes served by various electrical equipment and their high efficiency.
