This study aims to describe how the role of teachers in developing the potential of children with special needs in SLB Negeri 1 Amuntai. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the teacher's role in SLB Negeri 1 Amuntai went through the stages of planning, organizing, implementing as well as supporting and inhibiting factors for potential development.
