System of systems (SoS) engineering is growing rapidly especially in the field of Industry 4.0. In this paper, we propose a method for designing SoS allowing a better cooperation between components. To show the relevance of the proposed approach, an application around Industry 4.0 has been developed and tested. The application based on a robust MQTT communication architecture has allowed the designed SoS to be resilient while solving various types of interoperability issues.
